Cuttputlli – Akshay Kumar as a Sleuth Cop is Distinctive Watch on Disney+Hotstar
Akshay Kumar in Cuttputlli as an investigating cop with a sharp memory is a distinctive act.
Directed by Ranjit Tewari and produced by Pooja Entertainment, Cuttputlli is released on Disney+hotstar and is making waves due to high-profile acting by the all-rounder Akshay Kumar as Sub-Inspector Arjan Sethi. Rakul Preet Singh can be seen as a teacher alongside Akshay. Other cast includes Chandrachur Singh, Sargun Mehta, and Gurpreet Ghuggi.
With the plot of Cuttputli set in the town of Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh, Akshay as Arjan Sethi is playing a sleuth cop who before joining the force did the research for a few years on psychopath criminals and wrote a movie, but unfortunately, could not find buyers for the thriller.
On insisting by bother-in-law (played by Chandrachur Singh) abandoned his dreams of becoming a film writer. and joined Himachal police as SI.

With his research as a knowledgebase and sharp memory, Arjan tracks the clues and catch the serial psychopath killer who is involved in the mutilation and killing of school girls in Parwaano and Kasauli
Cuttputlli has twists and turns, first one is when the police thought they have the culprit, an abusive school teacher but he wasn’t, and again when Arjan’s niece was mutilated and murdered.
Cuttputlli is a remake of the film Tamil film Ratsasan which was released in 2018. The director has, however, flawed Cuttputli by putting exactly the same sequence of events in the Tamil crime thriller Ratsasan, and therefore the movie may not impress those who have already watched the original.
However, a few blemishes are also corrected by him like the character of SHO Parmar which is played by Sargun Mehta and is much improved and leaves few impressions.
While talking about the performances, Akshay Kumar as expected has pulled out as an emotional yet intelligent sleuth. However, a few scenes lack his essence, especially where he tries to portray too young.
Rahul Preet who played the English teacher and Arjan’s girlfriend didn’t have much to show off her acting skills but did what was required. The songs like Saathiya and Rabba keep pace with the movie.
Chandrachur who is seen after a long was just fine as a family elder and Sargun acted well as an authoritative officer.
Cuttputli is getting mixed reviews from the public. Judgment based on this review alone can be erroneous. To know more about the movie, consider watching it tonight only on Disney+Hotstar.
