The official trailer of the upcoming American television series “Hawkeye” directed by Rhys Thomas, Bert and Bertie is out. It debuts on Disney+ on Nov 24, 2021.
Hawkeye is written by Jonathan Igla and produced by Jonathan Igla, Trinh Tran, Rhys Thomas, and Kevin Feige in collaboration with Marvel Studios.
The TV series season 1 will be streamed into 8 episodes, first 6 episodes will be streamed every week until the 29th of December, 2021.
The Cast
The series is based on Hawkeye comics by Matt Fraction and David Aja. In the series, Clint Barton, a former avenger is Hawkeye, the role has been played by Jeremy Renner.
He is accompanied by another avenger Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld. The cast also includes Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy James, and newcomer Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez.
The Trailer
The trailer begins with the best and the most awaited time of the year i.e. Christmas.
“This is the first Christmas we’ve had together in years,” Hawkeye’s eldest Lila Barton says at the start of the trailer. Clint says “I am making up for some lost time.”
Furthermore, the trailer shows that Clint watches a piece of news on NY1 which shows someone wearing a ronin costume roaming in New York City.
In the background, the anchor can be heard saying “authorities are wondering if the masked vigilante who terrorized the city’s underworld is back.”
Soon, it is revealed that it is a young girl whose real name is Kate. She is an aspiring avenger, an archer, and a Hawkeye fan.
Another scene shows Clint’s kids leaving and he promised his daughter that he will be back for Christmas. On the other hand, Barton’s foes are getting ready to take their revenge on Ronin.
The short trailer also revealed the faces of a few more characters with their roles. Vera Farmiga as Eleanor can be seen as Kate’s mother.
Also, Maya Lopez/Echo is seen with a red light spotlighted on her face yet, played by Alaqua Cox, her role within the series isn’t revealed which left the viewers thinking about what role she is playing then?
