Hey Sinamika – Story
In the movie, the leads of the film are those of the upper class and educated ones. Yaazhan is a smart software technologist whereas Mouna is a young whether scientist. Both characters share quite a chemistry where there are fights, intimacy, and comedy as well.
The story plot is that of a troubled one. The wife Mouna, although is taken care of much by her better half Yaazhan, finds him intolerable, talkative, and over possessive. Therefore, seeks divorce from him.
The story starts in a somewhat unusual way when a storm hits a rooftop at the seaside in Kochi and Mouna and Yaazhan seek refuge under the same shelter.
This is the point when the love struck between them and where they start to get closer to each other. With a fast pace, the film jumps 2 years ahead, where they both can be seen getting married.
One can wonder, things would have clicked for them at that time. Some love, and some disputes. Settlements and adjustments would have occurred that led to their marriage.
Yaazhan shares screen as a sweet, humble, and caring husband. He makes for her breakfast daily and is concerned for the order in which it must be eaten. He makes her coffee and discusses its ingredients. But twists come when Mouna finds her husband overly possessive and talkative.
To seek divorce from Yaazhan, Mouna plots a plan. She seeks help from her relationship therapist, Dr. Malarvizhi (Kajal Aggarwal) who is the third protagonist of the story.
Mouna asks Malarzhivii to seduce her husband so that later she can accuse him of cheating her with someone else. To her dismay, Malarzhivi actually falls in love with Yaazhan, complicating the story of Yaazhan and Mouna into an intricate love triangle.
Hey Sinamika – Reviews
The storyline is weak in the sense that it is unable to explain why Mouna’s character never shares her insecurities with Yaazhan. The summing up of the disagreement is also not satisfactory from an emotional point of view.
However, from a performance point of view, both Dulquer and Aditi have outdone it. Dulquer very aptly portrays his character as a gentle and soft-spoken man. Aditi is excellent when it comes to showing the pain, disturbance, and agony of the character.
