The Recent Turbulence –  Rohit vs Virat

After the series defeat against South Africa Virat stepped down as Test captain. Only last month, Virat was removed as ODI captain. He also stepped down from the T20I captaincy after the 2021 T20 World Cup last November.

Keeping an eye on ICC ODI world cup 2022, BCCI named Rohit Sharma as the new white-ball skipper.

rohit as captain

Rohit, who was also named the vice-captain for the Test series in South Africa, sustained a left hamstring injury and had to pull out just prior to the team’s departure for the tour.

As per BCCI Rohit Sharma is recovering well from injury and hope to make a comeback for the six-match home limited-overs series against the West Indies.

With this speculations are high for who would captain the test team for the home test series against Sri Lanka. Rohit, Rahul, Bumrah, and Rishabh are the main contenders.

Now because Rohit is taking over the white ball captaincy, let’s do a peep through Rohit vs Virat’s cricketing careers so far.

In Test matches Virat as batsmen seem to have an edge over Rohit, he has a better batting average and more experience.
