5th Test Match and Indian Premier League 2021

There were actually discussions of delaying the test match for 24 hours so that the incubation period for the players who have come in contact with the covid positive person should pass. However, this doesn’t seem to be an option for BCCI due to previous commitments of Indian players at UAE for phase -2 of the IPL.

The Indian premier league (IPL) phase -2 which comprises 31 matches is due to be resumed from September 19 to October 15. Out of these 13 matches will be played in Dubai, 10 in Sharjah, and 8 in Abu Dhabi.
