Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss today and has elected to bat first.

While batting first India played well and they scored 184 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma once again glittered and scored a half-century, Ishan, Shreyas, and Venkatesh scored 29, 25, and 20 runs respectively.

Kiwi’s bowlers could not make much effect except Santner who took 3 wickets off 27 runs in 4 overs.
While chasing 184 runs, NZ started well but lost Daryl Mitchel too early. Martin Guptill who was in good form tried to keep up with the required rate but got dismissed in the 11th over after scoring 51. Other batsmen fell like a deck of cards.

In the end, NZ could only score 111-10 in 17.2 overs and lost the match to India by 73 runs.

From India’s bowling side, Axar took 3 wickets off 9 runs in 3 overs and Harshal took 2 off 26 runs in 3 over. Deepak, Yuzvendra and Venkatesh took 1 wicket each.
