When a brother vows to be a protector and a guardian of sisters, stories like Raksha Bandhan consummate.
With Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Padnekar in the lead roles, Raksha Bandhan has been released on the festival of Raksha Bandhan.
Raksha Bandhan festival is a sensitive emotion that touches the heart of each household in India, and so is the movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’. Twinkle Khanna promises that the movie is so strong emotionally that it can leave every eye in the theatre teary.
Raksha Bandhan’s story takes its inspiration from the film Kathi Kantha Rao which was released 12 years ago.
Aanand L. Rai Himanshu Sharma and Kanika Dhillon together have made a film that is sure to graze your heart. The story is of a brother Lala, played by Akshay Kumar who is a chaat seller and a guardian of 4 sisters, played by Sadia Khateeb, Shahejameen Kaur, and Deepika Khanna, and Smirthi Srikanth.
The story is a typical one but is the purest in its form. Lala as a loving and responsible brother takes a vow from his dying mother that he will only marry after all his sisters get married. However, Lala is in deep love with Sapna played by Bhumi Padnekar and his promise to the mother proves to be a huge obstacle in the path of marriage between Sapna and Lala.
Undoubtedly Akshay Kumar is more than a superstar. He is versatile in his craft, be it his comedy in Heri Pheri or a naive rural guy act in Singh is King, or a secret agent in Bell Bottom, Akshay has nailed the performances and has the credit of delivering superhits under his belt.
Bhumi on the other hand has also shown fine acting skills throughout. The performance in Raksha Bandhan by both Akshay and Bhumi will keep you engaged and stimulated.

Music directors Ishaan Chabra, and Himesh Reshammiya have given some classy songs in the name of this movie. Kangan Ruby sung by Himesh Reshammiya and Done Kar Do by Navraj Hans is getting liked by many.
I personally liked, Pehli Yaari Tumse…..
