Brahmastra Review
September 9, 2022 0 Comments

Ranbir Kapoor holds the mystic powers of Agneyastra and is spreading magic in Brahmastra Part One: Shiva

Directed by Ayan Mukerjee in a long time span of 5 years and produced by Karan Johar, Brahmastra is soaring high in terms of remunerations. And why not?

The excellent star cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, NagaArjun Akkinaini, Shahrukh Khan, and Dimple Kapadia is more than enough to make any movie stand out exceptionally.

Brahmastra

‘Brahmastra’ is unique and to date India’s most expensive movie with a budget of almost 450 crores. And it has been released in the theatres in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The movie will take you into another world. A world of superpowers and Astras like agnistra, vanarastra, nandiastra, kavachastra, jalastra, mayastra, prabhastra and the most potent Brahmastra

In Indian mythology, Brahmastra is a celestial weapon (which can be equated to Nuclear weapons of modern times.) created by Lord Brahma and had no counter.

The movie, Brahmastra features Shiva, a DJ, played by Ranbir Kapoor, who is an orphan and holds powers that can awaken Agniastra. Alia Bhatt is playing Isha, who is the love of Shiva and the stimulus of his powers.

Amitabh Bachchan is playing the storyteller and a guru of the secret clan Brahamansh. Nagarjuna is playing Anish Shetty who is an artist and part of the clan. Sharukh Khan as Mohan Bhargav, a scientist and member of the clan too played a cameo. The antagonist in Brahmastra is Mouni Roy who is playing Junoon, the queen of darkness.

The film can be called something which is quite romantic and sort of a fairy tale yet explained in a supernatural format. And this makes the movie very exciting.

The production of Karan Johar doesn’t require any introduction. Whenever you hear Karan Johar’s movie, you unconsciously think that the movie must be a colorful and bright one.

It won’t be wrong to say that Ayan Mukerjee has put his blood, sweat, and tears to make Brahmastra an extravaganza.

Keenness in his direction has made the movie more exciting, especially the use of light on the faces, Vanarastra’s trickery with Sharukh’s spell, that kiss, the scene where Nagaarjun invokes Nandiastra that looked noway less than MCU’s Dr. Strange in the multiverse of madness (wong vs Gargontas) and the initiation of Brahmastra where the fire of Ranbir’s eternal love absorbs all the radiations to save Alia and the world.

However, there are a few logical questions, e.g. in a scene, Amitabh had a beard in the very scene he is seen having a french cut. Similarly, when Ranbir uses Agniastra to save Alia, the gate is burning hot and Alia is holding it with bare hands. Also, I was thinking after watching the movie, why Esha had to back go to Mumbai from Himachal (is it to bring clothes or what?). But when you watch fantasy logic takes a backseat.

Amitabh’s name alone can make any movie worthy to be watched. And well about the lead cast, it won’t be wrong to say that Ranalia (Ranbir and Alia) both have time and again shown their mettle they are rockstars.

Their chemistry too is sizzling hot which even went offscreen leading to the marriage of this beautiful couple. Ranbir’s dance on ‘Dance ka Bhoot’ in 3D is just spectacular and so are scenes of phantasmagoria. On the hand, Alia has played the role of Ranbir’s love tenderly.

Mouni Roy has also outdone her part as she did in Mahadev and Naagin, but this time in a negative role.

The film is released in 3D and the special effects are just phenomenal, because of this fact, it has a huge expense and took a much longer time to get released. The songs like deva-deva in the voice of Arjit Singh and Kesariya by Sid Sriram are adding more to the magic of Brahmastra

In our view, Brahmastra is a must-watch show this weekend.
