Directed by Kanishk Varma Sanak and produced by Zee Studios and Sunshine Pictures, Sanak is an action-thriller, that was premiered 15 October 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar.

The movie stars Vidyut Jammwal as Vivaan Ahuja, Rukmini Maitra as Anshika Maitra, Neha Dhupia as ACP Jayati Bharghav as leading characters, and a few others as supporting cast.
Rukmini Maitra the Bengali star is doing her debut in Bollywood.
Sanak Movie Review
The movie starts on a romantic note, Vidyut along with his wife having a bonfire to celebrate their 3rd marriage anniversary when suddenly she collapses.
His wife needs cardiac surgery and he had to arrange 70 lakh Rupees. He reaches out to family and friends for help but to no avail. Finally, he sells his flat to arrange the amount.
Post successful surgery at the hospital, the terrorist hostages Vidyut’s wife Rukmini along with a few others to fulfill their heinous motives.
The storyline revolves around a lone protagonist i.e. Vidyut Jammwal who is a mixed martial arts trainer and fights like a one-man army to protect his wife and other people from the terrorist group.

On the other hand Neha Dhupia the ACP kept on putting her efforts in the ambit of rules.
One good thing is that all the actors performed well enough which gives an absolute vibe of Professionalism. Vidyut’s usually high-octane thrilling stunts add colors to the movie.
The most fascinating scenes are those containing cat vs mouse; the one in which the protagonist heroically encounters the villains.
Some viewers also believe that the storyline is poor while, the excellent performance by the actors makes it a one-time watch. After Vidyut’s thundering punches, his smirk scenes can also be the reason why to adore him.
Rukmini & Vidyut’s chemistry is too loving yet, being a romance lover, I believe the writer should have added some more complex elements leading to the establishment of a dazzling storyline.
Chandan Roy being the protagonist gives a banging entry, however, with the passing of time, his odd acting elements make the movie dull which would be a hyperbole thing.
Action director Andy Long Nguyen along with Jammwal remained successful in designing and making the performers perfect enough to do those stunts in such a refined way.
All applause to the action director who cleverly set the surroundings following the actions performed. Such scenes include those actions performed in the MRI room & the one in the physiotherapy ward.
The role of ACP Jayati Bharghav wasn’t appreciable ‘coz she being an ACP couldn’t do well with her responsibility. Like what she did in the entire movie is just throwing her orders & conversing with Vivaan on the telephone.
At least, here the writer would have done justice with the title given to the character. Being an ACP means a highly responsible official while here she seems to be a responsible person but with no actions.
