Bell Bottom, the last movie of Akshay Kumar was not a big hit at the box office, he must be hoping for much better box office collections with Sooryavanshi.
Sooryavanshi is another feather in Rohit Shetty’s cap, after the Singham series (headlined by Ajay Devgn) and then Simbaa (starring Ranveer Singh), now he expanded his cop universe with the addition of Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi.

In Sooryavanshi, Akshay is played the character of DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad in India. After Rowdy Rathore, Akshay’s action-packed killing performance made the movie a hit one.
Terrorism, these days is one of the burning issues across the world. According to research, terrorism in India will jump up to 7.53 percent by 2021. Talking about such issues, filming them on the big screen, and portraying them through media is a smart move.
In the movie the Anti-Terrorism Squad cop, Veer aka Akshay Kumar was handed over the responsibility to hunt the perpetrators of the 1993 Mumbai blasts. His senior Kabir aka Javed Jaffrey reveals that the terrorists had arranged for a ton of RDX; out of which, they used 400 kilograms. Veer’s team must locate the remaining explosives to annul another horrific attack on the city.
Sooryavanshi and his team with the help of the National Security Guard’s safely extradite the RDX bombs through helicopters. However, terrorists had another plan to use suicide bombers to attack the ATS Headquarters. The trio in the end finished the terrorists ending bombing fears.
In the movie, Katrina’s role wasn’t much interesting except the one in the iconic songs i.e. song ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ where she looks sexy on-screen and her sensual moves make heart-beat fast.
Ranveer Singh’s humor during the climax of the movie was much hilarious, which sparked a sense of lightness amidst the heavily action-packed movie.
Above all the much appreciative pointers of the movie, the question arises that from the beginning the audience has been told that there were 40 terrorists left in the state.
Yet, in the end, fight, it appears as if the number of terrorists just jumped through forty and seems as if there were troops of many forties. Haha! The absurdist thing this is, which I found. It was somehow hyperbole. Overall, the movie would be rated as 3.5 out of five.
